June update

  I went to Te Puke New World to buy ingredients for a chocolate fudge slice, where my job was to add the cocoa and help crush the biscuits. I also made delicious date scones, visited the community garden, bought potting mix at Mitre 10, and painted rocks and a fairy door. Three times a week, I help out around the studio by cleaning the bathroom, assisting with the shopping, and cleaning inside the white van, and I also spent time counting seeds into envelopes for the seeds library. For my creative and personal classes, I am learning a new dance with Donna, acting as a princess in the Slumber Party Disaster drama play, and talking to others about healthy relationships and community. Finally, I learned about budgeting at a People First meeting and went on several wonderful outings, including a community walk through Bayfair, a beach walk spotting birds at Maketu, and a visit to the Papamoa Library to see their 20-year art exhibition and listen to a Hairy Maclary story.
